Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about protecting your game server. Can't find your answer? Our support team is here to help.
A reverse proxy acts as a shield between your players and your actual game server. When players connect, they connect to our proxy IP instead of your real server IP. We then forward their traffic to your server. This hides your real IP address, protecting you from DDoS attacks and preventing attackers from finding your true server location.
We filter all incoming traffic through our network before it reaches your server. Our infrastructure is built to absorb and mitigate DDoS attacks, meaning malicious traffic gets blocked at our edge while legitimate player traffic passes through. Even if attackers target your proxy IP, your real server stays hidden and online.
We've optimized our network for minimal latency impact. Most users see less than 5-10ms added ping. Our servers are strategically located to provide the best routing possible. For most game servers, this small increase is unnoticeable during gameplay.
We support any game server that uses TCP or UDP connections. This includes Minecraft (Java & Bedrock), Habbo retros, FiveM, Rust, ARK, CS2, Terraria, Garry's Mod, TeamSpeak, and many more. If your server uses TCP or UDP, we can protect it.
TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is used by games that need reliable, ordered data delivery—like Minecraft Java Edition. UDP (User Datagram Protocol) is used by games that prioritize speed over reliability—like voice chat, FiveM, and many FPS games. Our Pro and Enterprise plans support both protocols.
Most single game servers only need 1 port. However, if you run multiple servers (e.g., a Minecraft network with separate lobbies), or services that use multiple ports (game + query + RCON), you'll need additional ports. The Starter plan includes 1 port, Pro includes 3, and Enterprise includes 10.
Setup typically takes less than 5 minutes. After subscribing, you'll submit your server's real IP and port through our dashboard. We'll configure your proxy and provide you with your new proxy IP/hostname within minutes. Then you just share the proxy IP with your players instead of your real IP.
Yes! You can update your backend server IP anytime through your dashboard. This is useful if you migrate hosts or need to switch servers. Changes typically propagate within a few minutes.
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all plans. If our service doesn't meet your needs within the first 7 days, contact support for a full refund. This lets you test our protection risk-free.
If you need more ports than your current plan allows, you can upgrade to a higher tier at any time. The upgrade is prorated, so you only pay the difference for the remaining billing period.
Yes, as long as you only share your proxy IP with players. Your real IP is stored securely in our system and is never exposed to end users. However, if you've previously shared your real IP, attackers may already have it—in that case, you'd need to change your server IP and only share the proxy going forward.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) through Stripe. All payments are processed securely. We're working on adding cryptocurrency payments soon.
